All along the Andalusian provinces of Cádiz and Huelva, in the south of Spain, stretching from Gibraltar north to the river Guadiana mouth, we find the Costa de la Luz coast. Its broad, golden sand and crystal clear water beaches, most of them surrounded by pine woods, are the perfect place to enjoy the shining sun. Among the main towns, we can mention the capitals of both provinces, Huelva and Cádiz, and the towns of Ayamonte, Chiclana, Chipiona, San Fernando, Jerez de la Frontera and Rota among many others. All of them share a main feature: the light shining from the really clean streets and whitewashed walls, from which the name of Costa de la Luz comes. Moreover, there is a great variety of hotels, restaurants and leisure establishments not only for the sun and beach tourism but also for the gastronomic, cultural and rural tourism, from which we could especially point out the beauty of the protected natural parks in the area (Doñana, Bahía de Cádiz, etc.) |
